These small wooden statues were among the only artifacts found in the Tomb of Ramesses I during it's excavation in the 19th century. One has the head of a ram and the other of a turtle. They would have had religious signficiance to the pharaoh's tomb and likely held small artifacts that described their function in the afterlife. They are made of wood coated with black resin.
