This fragment of the sarcophagus of Ramesses VI, originates from his tomb in the Valley of the Kings, circa 1141-1133 BC. This period coincided with the rule of Ramesses VI, the fifth pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty. The fragment, carved from a single block of red granite, originally constituted a part of his royal sarcophagus.
